Location & Geology
The local forest at Madenbergweg in Weilheim (Bavaria) is located in the Upper Bavarian Young Moraine forestry subregion. The terrain slopes gently to the east and offers a fascinating geological diversity.
- Soil: Fresh silty loams on the upper slopes, nutrient-rich soils further downslope.
- History: Originally wood barley–beech forest and black alder–ash swamp forest.
- Climate: Atlantic-influenced with above-average precipitation – ideal for growth.

A resilient continuous forest
The current stock comprises approximately 6 hectares of spruce (30–35 years old). In addition, there are groups of deciduous trees including pedunculate oak, sycamore maple, and European beech. The challenge: in the eastern part, gaps have formed due to site conditions. We deliberately focus on climate-resilient tree species such as pedunculate oak and European beech to promote biodiversity. Healthy soils and site-appropriate tree species ensure that the forest can optimally adapt to changing climate conditions.
Permanent Satellite Monitoring
In cooperation with Remote Sensing Solutions GmbH (RSS), we monitor all our forests permanently. If a forest fire or deforestation is detected, tokens are immediately locked.
