Real-time fire monitoring
Earth-observation satellites capture every greenkeeper forest several times a day. If a fire is detected on-site, sales stop automatically. Full transparency, visible live.
Wildfires are among the greatest risks to the carbon stored in forests. To keep a reported contribution to CO₂ storage performance reliable, greenkeeper continuously monitors every connected forest area by satellite. Earth-observation satellites capture the regions several times a day; the analysis flags heat signatures that indicate a fire on or near a project area. If a detection is found directly on a project area, the system automatically removes the affected area from sale and notifies the greenkeeper team. Detections in the wider vicinity trigger an observation notice without blocking sales. This keeps the state of every area traceable at all times. The overview shown here is updated continuously and is publicly accessible to everyone – part of our commitment to make the condition of each area transparent and verifiable. The map shows current hotspots around the project areas, each with location, time and a link to the exact position. The status cards below summarise, for every forest project, when it was last checked and whether detections exist on the area or in its vicinity. The analysis is based on satellite-based fire detection; positional accuracy is about 375 metres, which is why individual detections in the vicinity do not necessarily concern the project area itself.
